Meet Your Therapist

Sarah B. Wareing

LPC-Associate, LCDC, NCC, EMDR-Trained

Supervised by Matthew Eubanks, LPC-S

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.

Life can often feel like a never-ending cycle of ups and downs. From one day to the next, we live in a state of unknowns that is often made more challenging by the experiences of our past. My goal as your therapist is to help you unpack these hardships and put the truest version of yourself back into the driver's seat.

Most of my clients are young women who have survived some form of trauma, loss, or life disruption. I have unique experience working with complex, childhood, and recent trauma, substance use recovery, and life transitions. I also specialize in helping teen girls with issues related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, self-harm behaviors, suicidal thoughts, and peer relationships.

Whatever it is that brought you to seek help, I am so glad you are here and look forward to helping you feel heard, understood, and valued.

THERAPY SERVICES

Compassionate, trauma-informed counseling for teen girls and young women.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is an evidence-based treatment method used to help remove the 'sting' from traumatic memories, anxiety, phobias, and other emotional conditions.

Art-based therapy uses creative processes to help clients express emotions and thoughts in a safe environment, facilitating self-exploration and understanding. It benefits individuals of all ages and addresses various mental health issues.

Solution-focused therapy is a brief therapeutic approach that emphasizes strengths, resources, and future possibilities. SFT is goal-oriented, collaborative, and honors the client as the expert of their own life and experience.

Internal Family Systems, also known as Parts Work, focuses on identifying and integrating the different parts of an individual's inner system to promote internal harmony and Self-leadership.

Narrative therapy focuses on the stories we tell about our lives. By separating the individual from their problems, narrative therapy empowers clients to create new, more positive narratives that can lead to personal growth and healing.

Counseling for Teens

Sarah's work with teenagers focuses on cultivating trust and felt safety within the therapeutic relationship to help them navigate the unique challenges they face and build resilience.
